Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

We kindly inform you that on June 10-11, 2024 the Public Review Session was held in the Clinical and Didactic Center of the Medical University of Lodz in the Western Lecture Hall at 251 Pomorska Street. The event was conducted in English as part of the doctoral seminar for PhD students of the International Doctoral School. The aim of the event was not only to evaluate the scientific achievements of doctoral students and their progress in scientific and research work, but also to integrate the academic community and the possibility of internationalizing the school through the participation of foreign guests.

 

On the first day, the session was opened by the Vice-Rector for Science Development and International Cooperation – prof. Lucyna Woźniak, PhD DSc and the Head of IDS prof.  Anna Woźniacka, MD PhD. On this day a lecture entitled „Promoting research and publications – the Associate Editor’s perspective” was delivered by Janusz Janczukowicz, MD PhD Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Teaching Development and Head of the Medical Education Center.
On the second day, prof. Carla Ferreri, PhD – was our the special guest from Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in Bologna, who during the lecture entitled „LIPIDS and HEALTH: The development of membrane lipidomics from science to health market innovation” touched on the importance of healthy eating.

 

The essential elements of the meeting were the presentations of doctoral students, which documented their scientific achievements. The doctoral students’ presentations were assessed by committees appointed by the Head of the IDS, which included independent academic staff of the University. The best doctoral students were awarded by the Committee.

 

We would like to thank all participants for their active participation and contribution to the implementation of this event.
